What we build into the vanity.

Every vanity is engineered to handle the specific conditions of a bathroom - humidity, splashes, and daily wear - while integrating cleanly with the plumbing, electrical, and countertop.

Countertop fabrication

Granite and quartz countertops are templated, fabricated, and installed as part of the same project - measured after the cabinet boxes are set so the surface fits with a single clean seam.

Drawer systems

Full-extension soft-close drawers with Blum hardware. Optional interior dividers for toiletries, hair tools, and cosmetic storage. Drawer fronts coordinated to avoid plumbing interference.

Paint & finish

Premium paint for painted vanities - sealed against humidity and daily splashes. For natural wood, conversion varnish at sheen levels from matte to semi-gloss.

Sink integration

Under-mount, drop-in, and vessel sinks all supported. Countertop cutouts templated from your exact sink model before fabrication. Plumbing access designed through the back of the vanity.

Storage features

Drawer dividers, pull-out trays, concealed outlets for electric razors and toothbrushes, adjustable shelving, and integrated hamper storage. Every feature specified at the design stage.

Hardware

European soft-close hinges, full-extension drawer slides, and premium-finished or metal pulls coordinated to the door style. Standard on every vanity - not an upgrade.

Door Styles

The door sets the tone for the whole bathroom.

Every profile is available in custom sizing to suit non-standard vanity dimensions, and every finish is applied in our own factory.

01

Shaker doors

A classic, transitional profile that pairs well with both modern and traditional tile work. The safest choice if the bathroom will be resold before it is redone.

02

Flat veneer doors

A clean, contemporary appearance with minimal visual weight - well suited to floating vanities and compact powder rooms.

03

High-gloss lacquer doors

A sleek, reflective surface that brightens the room and makes a bold design statement, especially under vanity lighting.

04

Exotic wood species

Walnut and cherry bring a warm, natural feel, with each piece displaying unique grain character. Sealed for humidity like every door we make.

Who We Build For

One vanity or a houseful.

Our vanity work spans a master ensuite in Rosedale, a powder room in a downtown condo, and multiple bathrooms in a new-build project in Kleinburg - each with the same attention to the joints, the drawers, and the finish. Since 1997 the team has completed over 1,000 cabinetry projects across the GTA, and our vanities draw on the same material expertise as our kitchens.

Builders and contractors outfitting several bathrooms get the same factory-direct pricing and a single point of accountability from design through installation. Homeowners get a vanity built around their actual routine, not a catalogue size.

FAQ

Vanity Cabinetry FAQ

Most custom vanity projects at Apico average $3,000 to $4,000, including design, manufacturing, finishing, and installation. A compact single vanity can come in lower, while large double vanities with premium countertops and integrated storage run higher. Countertop material - granite, quartz, or marble - is the biggest variable after size.

A store-bought vanity is a compromise; a custom vanity is built around your lifestyle. We can integrate 'hidden' features that big-box stores don't offer: internal plugs for hair dryers and electric toothbrushes so your counters stay clear, dedicated 'his and hers' sections, and even specialized storage like hidden chillers for skincare products or concealed towel heaters for a spa-like experience.

Yes. While no wood product is truly 'waterproof,' our vanities are finished with commercial-grade sealants specifically designed for high-humidity environments. This protects the substrate from warping or swelling due to steam and daily splashes, ensuring the cabinetry lasts as long as the rest of your home.

Absolutely. That is the core advantage of custom cabinetry. We measure your space precisely and build the unit to fit the exact dimensions of your alcove or irregular wall configuration, ensuring a seamless 'built-in' look with no awkward gaps or filler strips.

We design every vanity with your specific plumbing and electrical needs in mind. This includes routing plumbing through the back panels to maximize drawer space and installing internal GFI outlets so your devices stay plugged in and ready to use, but hidden from view.

Both granite and quartz are excellent choices for bathroom vanities. Granite offers natural stone character with each slab being unique, while quartz provides a non-porous, low-maintenance surface with highly consistent colour and pattern. We help you weigh the practical and aesthetic considerations based on your specific bathroom and usage patterns.

Most custom vanity projects are completed within four to six weeks from design approval to installation. Simpler projects may be completed sooner. We confirm the timeline during the design phase so you can plan your renovation schedule accordingly.

Yes. Full-extension, soft-close drawer slides and hinges are standard on every Apico vanity - not an optional upgrade. For clients who prefer a handle-free design, we also offer Blum electric auto-open systems that respond to a gentle press.

Every Apico vanity is backed by a lifetime warranty on all hardware and a five-year warranty on finishes. We use commercial-grade components and premium finishing systems specifically because they deliver long-term performance in bathroom environments.
