Custom Kitchens in Toronto.

Built around the way you live. When it comes to custom kitchens in Toronto, quality starts with local craftsmanship — every kitchen designed and built from the ground up in our own Toronto factory.

Our Craftsmanship

Quality starts local.

Since 1997, founder Apic Imasdounian and the Apico team have completed over 1,000 kitchen and cabinetry projects across the Greater Toronto Area. With four decades of industry experience behind every design decision, we bring a level of precision and craftsmanship that simply cannot be replicated by stock or semi-custom alternatives.

Our custom kitchens are built using frameless construction for maximum interior storage, premium plywood and MDF substrates, and finishes applied with premium paint systems for outstanding durability. Every drawer runs on full-extension, soft-close slides as standard — because quality hardware is not an upgrade, it is a baseline.

What we build into the room.

Our custom kitchens are designed to address every element of the room, not just the cabinets along the wall. Each project is tailored to your cooking habits, storage needs, and aesthetic preferences.

Kitchen Islands

A well-designed island can serve as a prep station, dining surface, storage hub, and gathering point. We build islands in every configuration — with integrated sinks, cooktop cutouts, waterfall countertops, open shelving, or concealed storage.

i

Pantry Cabinets

From walk-in pantry systems with pull-out shelving to tall single-unit pantries with interior organizers, we design pantry storage that keeps everything accessible. Full-extension drawers and adjustable shelving are standard.

Door Styles & Finishes

Shaker doors, flat veneer, high-gloss lacquer, exotic wood species — walnut, cherry, zebrano. All finishes applied using premium paint systems, stains, and glazes.

k

Material Options

Plywood construction for superior structural integrity. MDF panels for smooth, consistent paint finishes. Frameless European-style construction to maximize usable interior space.

European soft-close hinges, full-extension drawer slides, and Blum electric auto-open on handle-free designs. All hardware European-sourced for precision and long-term reliability.

FAQ

Kitchen Cabinetry FAQ

For the cabinetry and countertops alone, most custom projects range from $7,000 for a small condo-style kitchen to $35,000 for a full estate run. The final price is dictated by your finishing choices — painted is typically more expensive than stained — and the door profile. Imperial profiles are more costly than shaker or flat panels due to the intricate machining required.
Our typical manufacturing lead time is six to eight weeks. However, you won't be without a kitchen for that entire time. The demo and area preparation (flooring, electrical, plumbing) usually takes 4-6 days. After the site is ready, cabinet installation takes 2-3 days, followed by 2 days for countertop templating and install, and one final day to wire and plumb everything back up.
We typically use solid wood for the front face of the doors. Wood is durable because if the finish is damaged, the material itself remains stable. MDF (medium-density fiberboard) is popular for painted finishes because it provides a perfectly smooth surface, but it can expand if moisture penetrates the core. That said, our MDF is sealed with a high-quality protective layer, making it very durable for daily kitchen use.
Yes, we handle the entire package. We provide the hardware and coordinate the countertop fabrication as part of our service. We offer granite, quartz, marble, and other stone surfaces, handling everything from templating to final installation so the process is seamless for you.
