Our Story
Named for the man behind the bench.
Apico Kitchens was founded in 1997 by Apic Imasdounian, a cabinetmaker with over 40 years of hands-on experience in the custom cabinetry industry. The company's name is a nod to the man behind it — "Apico" is what friends, colleagues, and clients have always called him, and a folk only right that the business carries the personal touch.
Apic built this company from the ground up with a clear conviction: that homeowners deserve cabinetry designed and built to the highest standards, delivered with genuine care and transparency. That conviction has never wavered.

1985 — Present
1985
Apic begins his career in the custom cabinetry industry.
1997
Apico Kitchens is founded. Named for Apic's workshop nickname.
2010s
Expands into custom vanities and full-wall-unit construction. Automotive-grade finishing line installed.
2020s
Over 1,000 completed GTA projects. BILD Award finalist. NKBA and BILD members.
2026
Thirty-first year. Apic still leads every project, from consultation to final walkthrough.

Every Apico project is designed and built right here in Toronto, in our own manufacturing facility. From CNC machining to spray finishing, every step happens under one roof.

Our Mobile Showroom — we come to you.
Choosing materials should not involve a trip to a distant showroom. Our mobile showroom brings samples, swatches, and hardware options to your home so you can see finishes in your own lighting.

Apico is a small, dedicated team, and we intend to keep it that way. When you work with us, you work directly with the people who will design, build, and install your cabinetry.
